DIOCESAN CANONICAL INSPECTION REPORT - Graded “GOOD”
“The overall effectiveness of the school is good. The Headteacher is an inspirational leader and the strong leadership shown by the senior team has galvanized the school community and taken them on a journey of reflection and development. The Headteacher’s passion and drive have led to an overwhelmingly positive sense of community and care within the school. She has been ably supported by effective governors at the school, who set challenging expectations”. DCI June 2018

Regarding the Government Update on 02/07/2020
As you will be aware, yesterday the Government made an announcement about how students will return to schools in September.
We received this information at the same time as you and, although we have obviously been thinking about what may happen in September, we will now be looking at this guidance in detail with support from the Trust. As soon as we have put together a considered plan we will communicate with you.
Thank you for your continued support during these challenging times.
11th May Following the Prime Minister's update:
As I am sure you will have seen, the Prime Minister announced yesterday evening plans to ease some of the current lockdown measures as part of a “conditional plan” to reopen society. The plans include the proposal for a phased reopening of primary schools from 1st June beginning with Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children. No date was given for the reopening of secondary schools as yet, however, those students sitting exams next year (Year 10 and Year 12) will be prioritised. The government has promised to provide detailed guidance to schools on the measures for reopening to students and staff and as you would expect we will be working closely with the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust to adopt a well- considered action plan and a robust risk assessment so that when the time is right we can implement the phased return of some pupils. Just as we have done over the last two months we will continue to provide parents with regular updates and will continue to share any further information as soon as we can on the timescales for the reopening of schools and the measures we are adopting to help keep students and staff safe. In the meantime we will continue to focus on the home learning opportunities available for all our families which will include reviewing what we currently have in place.

Please be reminded that Government advice is that the safest place for children is to be at home to avoid the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19.
If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.
To those who have identified to us as key workers everyone will be evaluated as places will be reviewed on a most at need basis.
