INSET Day

27th May 2016

Dear Parent/Carer

This has been an extremely busy half term especially for the Year 11s who are now sitting their GCSE examinations and so we wish them the best of luck! You will have received our latest Newsletter which hopefully is keeping you up to date with the events and activities that your child has been involved in here at St Philip Howard over the last term.

During the half term holiday the dining room is being redesigned and refurbished in order to provide an improved service in a new and modern space. We are all looking forward to this and we are sure that this will make lunch time a more enjoyable experience for the students and staff at the Academy. Please be patient with us during the first week back as there will be some adjustments to lunch time provision whilst the dining room is completed. However, be assured that your child will still have access to a wide selection of food and the week commencing 13th June normal services will resume.

Finally, the school will be closed to children on Friday 1st July 2016. This is the final INSET day for staff this academic year. We will be using the day to plan and prepare for the upcoming curriculum changes starting from September 2016.

I hope you enjoy the holiday and look forward to seeing all students in school on Monday 6th June at 8.45 am.

Yours sincerely

Mrs L Morris
